About Me
Hello, I’m Paul Chater, I absolutely love Designing and Developing Web Applications!
This page focuses on who I am, what I do, the reasons behind this blog, and my interest and hobbies, although I must pre-warn you that it will be rather lengthy so If you haven’t got the patience then please feel free too skip to a different page. So lets get on with a little section just introducing myself.
I’m a twenty two year old male from Coventry, England, United Kingdom but residing in Sunderland, which is in the North-East just on the coast approximately 15 mile from Newcastle. I have a lovely fiancée named Emma who I absolutely adore and don’t think I really could live without.
At the time of writing
I’m participating in my Prince’s Trust Team Programme which is unfortunately due to end on the 16th of July. Whilst at Prince’s trust I have had a smashing time and have also been accredited with the vInspired vFifty Award
for doing 50+ hours on a Community Project (we went to a Nursery and re-vamped their play ground I painted Spider Man on the Walls and also Buzz Lightyear which was awesome.) at a proper award ceremony which I’ve never really had the chance to do
I’m currently unemployed but as I stated above, I love designing and developing websites and tinkering with pretty much every aspect of computers so much so that I’m paying to get myself a CompTIA A+ and CompTIA N+ Qualification
which should later enable me to get a job within the following fields: PC Technician, User Support Technician, Network Engineer and many more.
My main reasons for this blog initially were to showcase off some of my work but lately it’s became a blog where I sometimes just ramble on; I have had the domain for a few year now (can’t tell you the exact year as I can’t remember) but it’s been some time. I have also been developing and designing websites since approx 2001 and I’m currently up to speed with some of the latest web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, (some) jQuery / JavaScript, (some) PHP, CodeIgniter OOPHP-MVC Framework, MySQL. Later on within the year I’m hoping to pay for a Certificate by W3Schools which says that I can do the Fundamentals of HTML, PHP, JavaScript which will cost me a grand total of: £148.16; of course I’m not going to get these one after the other as funding is rather low.
In my spare time when I’m not drinking too much coffee whilst coding I tend to spend my time mainly with my fiancée mentioned above, I also love playing the Guitar and playing various PC Games (Steam list will come soon haha.) I’m pretty much a gaming nut to be honest and I’ve also built my machine from scratch without help which is one of my most awesome computing achievements to date. My main niche in gaming would be First Person Shooters; sure I’m not awesomely good at them but I give them a go and just love shooting things and making people blow up (I’m not violent, honest!) If I’m not playing First Person Shooters then I tend to play Racing games which I am quite good at especially Forza Motorsport and Need for Speed Shift.
Anyway, I believe I have rambled on too much about myself now so I will now call this an end to the page, please feel free to use the contact form to contact myself if you have any questions.
